Day 1 | Arrival In Manaus

Arrive in Manaus, the gateway to the world’s largest rainforest, where Brazil’s vibrant culture and breathtaking natural beauty converge. This city, set in the heart of the vast Amazonas state, is your perfect introduction to the country’s enchanting diversity — an intoxicating blend of European, African, and Indigenous influences. From its sun-kissed beaches to the depths of the lush Amazon, Brazil offers a kaleidoscope of experiences, and Manaus serves as the ideal starting point for your journey into this captivating region.

Upon arrival, your private driver will greet you and drive you to your accommodation in the center of Manaus.

Day 2 | Manaus – Amazon Cruise

Your journey begins with a warm reception at your hotel lobby. After a transfer to the pier, you will board the sophisticated Untamed Amazon, where welcome drinks and gourmet appetizers await you. As we begin our navigation along the Negro River, you will be treated to views of Manaus’ historic architecture, a city shaped by the rubber boom era.

We will witness one of the Amazon’s most extraordinary natural phenomena: the Meeting of Waters, where the dark Rio Negro and the sandy-colored Rio Solimões flow side by side without mixing.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Janauary Ecological Park by canoe, marveling at giant water lilies and other aquatic wonders. The Amazon reveals its vibrant colors as the sun sets, providing a breathtaking backdrop to our first evening aboard.

Day 3 | Amazon Cruise

After a hearty breakfast, we disembark for a cultural immersion at the Rubber Museum, where we will step back in time to understand the pivotal role rubber played in shaping the Amazon’s history.

Returning to our ship, we sail toward the majestic Anavilhanas Archipelago — the world’s largest river archipelago. As night falls, prepare for an evening water trail excursion, navigating the igapós (flooded forests) by canoe.

Day 4 | Amazon Cruise

We greet the dawn with a sunrise cruise through the 3 Mouths region, where calm waters mirror the awakening sky. It’s a privileged moment for spotting river dolphins and playful otters. After breakfast, we visit the Tumbira community, a model project of sustainable development within the Tumbira Reserve. Discover how local initiatives balance environmental preservation with traditional lifestyles.

In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing swim in the Negro River, whose waters are uniquely pure and warm.

As the day concludes, we relax on a secluded river beach, sipping drinks while witnessing another mesmerizing Amazonian sunset.

Day 5 | Amazon Cruise

The day begins with another awe-inspiring sunrise, accompanied by the sounds of Amazonian birds. After breakfast, we set course for Acajatuba, a riverside community where you’ll engage in authentic interactions and learn about local traditions. A highlight of the day is the up-close experience with the enchanting pink river dolphins.

In the afternoon, we explore the Ariau River by canoe, a waterway rich in biodiversity and ideal for observing monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds.

Tonight, indulge in a special Sensory Dinner aboard the Untamed Amazon — an immersive culinary journey designed to awaken all your senses, set against the serene backdrop of the rainforest.

Day 6 | Amazon Cruise – Manaus

On your final morning, after breakfast, we visit the Tuyuka indigenous community. Here, you’ll have a rare opportunity to learn about ancestral knowledge, cultural practices, and traditional plantations of this proud people.

After a final lunch on board, we begin our journey back to Manaus. Disembarkation will take place around noon, followed by a transfer to your hotel or the airport, concluding an unforgettable Amazonian odyssey.

Payment Policy:

  • The deposit of 30% will be requested after the booking confirmation. It’s a guarantee of reservation and is not refunded in case of cancellation of the trip for any reason (except travel restriction to the destination due to the pandemic – in this case the tour can be rescheduled). The deposit amount will be deducted from the remainder of the payment.
  • Balance due 60 days prior arrival

Cancellation and refund policies

  • All cancellations and trip change requests must be made in writing by mail or by email and received, and acknowledged by SouthQuest.
  • All cancellations requested up to 61 calendar days prior to departure have non-refundable security deposits unless SouthQuest is able to renegotiate the terms with the service providers. That is why it is important that cancellations are announced as early as possible.
  • Cancellations made with 60 calendar days or less prior to group starts are assessed a cancellation fee of 100% of the trip price, including domestic flights, extensions, and extra services such as hotel nights
